This is not an exhaustive list, but some of the most common debts that are discharged by bankruptcy are utility bills, certain types of court judgments, credit card and charge car bills, department store bills, gasoline company bills, loans from relatives and friends, newspaper and magazine subscriptions, legal bills, medical bills, accounting bills, and most unsecured loans (those that are not secured by collateral).
